NOW OFFERING FREE EPA Approved disinfecting house cleaning services and Disinfecting Misting Service to households battling cancer
Year-round Maid and Moore Cleaning Services offer FREE house cleaning services to households with men, women, and children battling cancer through Cleaning For A Reason, a non-profit organization. In light of our current situation, with COVID-19, for the whole month of May, we will be offering FREE Disinfecting Misting Services for an added layer of protection along with FREE disinfecting house cleaning services.
During a time, such as this it is important to not only clean our homes which removes visible dirt, dust and debris but also disinfect them. With COVID-19 now in our daily life, we have all been compelled to take a closer look at our household cleaning. Visibly clean is just not good enough anymore.
Now, more than ever before we are seeking a level of clean that compares to that of healthcare facilities. Hospitals are required by regulation to use EPA approved disinfectants to eliminate 100% of the organisms (virus, bacteria, fungi) present on a cleaned surface. Although not required by regulation, we want our customers to have the same safety and security that comes with this level of disinfection.
Maids and Moore is always looking for ways to improve our service and by adding EPA approved disinfectant and offering our new Disinfecting Misting Service, we are meeting the level of disinfection our customers need. We should all feel safe in our home environment and Maids and Moore want to help achieve that. Especially, for those that are battling cancer with compromised immune systems. We strive to make time for what matters most and to provide an environment for healing.
“I wanted to express my appreciation to Maids and Moore and Cleaning for a Reason. I can’t tell you how much it means to have had my house cleaned by your team. When I was first told of the cleanings, I didn’t think I needed the help and I felt as a mother that I could do it all. And by asking or accepting help I couldn’t be a good Mom. After spending almost 8 months in and out of the hospital with my oldest son fighting cancer. I realized I couldn’t keep up with the house work. And having two more children and a husband at home as you can imagine made it even harder! My focus needed to be on my son and being there for him during the good and bad days. Your service allowed me to focus on what really matters most and still be able to have a clean home to come home to after our weeks stays at the hospital. It was one less worry, one less thing to do for this Mom. And for that, I can’t say Thank you enough! I guess it’s a pride thing, I have always cleaned my house myself and letting someone come into our home was letting you into our haven. I’m so glad I did! What Holly Moore and the whole team is doing to help those going through treatment is amazing! I can’t say enough good things!” ~Lori Samarron
“I wanted to thank you all for coming out and helping me with the house. It was a God send. Y’all are truly amazing, and this help could not have come at a better time.” ~Sibel Mandalinci

NOW OFFERING: Disinfecting Misting Services
What is Disinfecting Misting and How Does it Work?
•Using a misting machine is a way of quickly and evenly coating a surface with a disinfecting solution. This is done by using a misting applicator to apply EPA approved disinfectant to all surfaces.
•Maids and Moore use a disinfecting solution that EPA has registered to kill level 2A (lowest level), 2B and 2C (highest level) emergent viruses. This disinfectant solution is registered with the EPA at the highest level 2C for emerging viral pathogens. COVID-19 was placed as a level 2A status (the lowest level).
•When this EPA certified disinfecting solution is mixed into the misting applicator it will dispense a mist on to surfaces that will kill pathogens to viruses such as COVID-19. The mist will reach in the hard to clean areas such as air ducts, cabinets, drawers, etc. Applying this EPA approved disinfectant to surfaces with the appropriate droplet size ensures a dwell time of solution on the surface of 1-minute kill time.

A dingy, scuffed wall can be quite unattractive. By cleaning the walls as well as other parts of the room, you’ll be making the place feel and look more appealing. However, bear in mind that walls with flat paint need to be well cared for. You don’t want to be too vigorous when scrubbing flat paint as that could wear down the finish, making for an unpleasant appearance. As such, it’s important to learn how to clean marks off walls with flat paint.
How to Clean Marks Off Walls with Flat Paint
In this article, we’ll highlight how to clean marks off walls with flat paint. It’s a simple step by step process that will have your walls clean and spotless in no time.
Find Out If You Have Flat Paint
Before starting the cleaning process, confirm that you have flat paint walls. This doesn’t refer to the texture of the walls but rather that the wall is a matte finish. Since flat paint doesn’t reflect light, it’s ideal for hiding imperfections in accent walls and ceilings. If your walls don’t reflect light at all, even from an angle and have 0-10 percent gloss, it’s safe to say they have flat paint.
Cleaning Supplies
A household tip to consider is always having cleaning essentials in your home. Here are some of the cleaning supplies you’ll need to gather for cleaning flat paint walls:
First things first, be sure to clean dirt and stains from flat paint as quickly as possible. The longer you ignore the stains, the harder they are to clean. Here are a few tips for removing scuff marks, smears and smudges from flat paint walls:
Start the cleaning process by rubbing the wall with a clean, damp cloth or sponge. Sometimes plain water will do the trick and remove all stains, allowing you to avoid cleaning products. This will likely work if you deal with stains as soon as you see them.
If plain water doesn’t work, consider adding vinegar to the damp cloth or sponge and scrub the walls gently. If vinegar doesn’t remove the stain entirely, you can try removing problematic spots with an eraser sponge. This gentle cleaning product should remove stubborn stains without damaging the paint. If you still have the original wall paint, you can use a painter’s brush to touch up the stained spot. Alternatively, repaint the entire wall with a new, more durable sheen.
For especially stubborn stains, our team here at Maids and Moore will ensure your home is squeaky clean with no marks on the walls.
Bottom Line
With these few tips, you now know how to clean marks off walls with flat paint. Remember that a professional cleaning company will have the right equipment, training and experience to keep your home looking and feeling fresh and clean. Our team is capable of tackling all types of stubborn stains and other household chores.
