National Cleaning For A Reason Week with Maids and Moore

Cleaning For A Reason now expanding to service households with men, women, and children battling cancer.

Maids and Moore is celebrating Cleaning For A Reason Week proclaimed by the mayors of each division on April 18-24, to help raise awareness and funds to reach more families in need. Cleaning For A Reason has expanded to not only help women battling cancer but also men and children who are battling cancer, as well.
Since opening in 2008, Maids and Moore Cleaning Services has been teamed up with Cleaning For A Reason, an international nonprofit serving cancer patients. Over 11 years, Maids and Moore has generously donated house cleanings to more than 110 cancer patients throughout Travis and Montgomery Counties. “Partnering with Cleaning For A Reason has been amazing as it allows us to help cancer patients in their time of need by doing what we do best,” said owner Holly Moore of Maids and Moore. “We’re honored to donate the gift of a clean home to those fighting for their life. It is important for our company to give back and have a positive impact on our community.” Maids and Moore is bringing heightened awareness of the cause to Travis and Montgomery Counties during National Cleaning For A Reason Week, April 18-24. The goal is to help more households battling any type of cancer. During this special week and in celebration of their 11 years of donated cleanings, Maids and Moore will be taking on more charitable cleans. Maids and Moore has agreed to help cancer patients by cleaning at least 15 homes per month for two consecutive months at no charge. The only requirement is that the homes be within the company’s existing service areas of Travis and Montgomery County and surrounding areas.
Cleaning For A Reason partners with more than 1,200 residential cleaners throughout the United States and Canada to offer free house cleaning to any household battling cancer. Since 2006, the nonprofit and its partners have donated more than $11 million in services, helping more than 33,000 cancer patients. In 2017, Cleaning For A Reason was adopted by ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, joining the ISSA Charities arm.
