MAIDS AND MOORE SAFELY DISINFECTING HOMES & OFFICES

Austin and Conroe, Texas – May 6, 2020 Since opening in 2008, Maids and Moore Cleaning Services has been teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit serving cancer patients. For over 12 years, Maids and Moore has donated house cleanings to a total of 195 cancer patients with a donated value of $66,315 in cleanings. Maids and Moore was recognized by Cleaning for a Reason as the 2018 Top Maid Service Partner for most cancer patients served.

“Cleaning for cancer patients is a meaningful part of our business,” said owner Holly Moore. “We all know someone who has battled cancer and understand the value of what it means to be supported at this difficult time. We’re honored to focus on their homes, while these patients focus on their recovery and time with family.”

Moore emphasized, “During this coronavirus pandemic, our homes and offices need to not only be cleaned—which means removing visible dirt, dust, and debris—but also to be sanitized and disinfected. While sanitizing reduces the occurrence and growth of bacteria, viruses, and fungi, disinfecting actually kills the pathogens of viruses and such organisms—making it more effective to rid the surface of such viruses.”

Maids and Moore is helping cancer patients by cleaning and disinfecting at least 15 homes per month for two consecutive months at no charge. This service will include their EPA-approved disinfecting misting service. The only requirement is that the homes be within the company’s existing territories of Travis and Montgomery counties and surrounding areas.

“Deemed an essential business, Maids and Moore is proud to do our part to help stop the spread of COVID-19,” said Moore. “Now more than ever, our clients, and especially the cancer patients, need our support to help ensure clean, safe, and healthy environments. We are prepared to both clean and provide our EPA-approved disinfecting misting service that kills pathogens for viruses, including COVID-19. We are now ‘cleaning for health’ as we slow the spread of infectious elements. Our staff has been trained to follow all CDC guidelines, including use of masks, gloves, and booties when entering a home or office.”

About Disinfecting Misting Services

sing a misting machine is a way of quickly and evenly coating a surface with a disinfecting solution. The mist will reach hard to clean areas, such as air ducts, cabinets, drawers, etc. Applying an EPA-approved disinfectant to surfaces with the appropriate droplet size ensures a dwell time of solution on the surface for a one-minute kill time of pathogen.   Watch how misting service is performed at maidsandmoore.com/epa-approved-electrostatic-disinfecting.
