Cleaning Out The Clutter

.) Take an assessment of what you have. To keep the job manageable, do a few hours of work each weekend or go one room at a time. Recruit a friend or a residential maid service. Listen to music or sip some wine while you sort. Make it fun. If you haven’t used it or needed it with in the last year, chances are you will never. Throw stuff away and Let it go!!!

.) When sorting, categorize all your stuff in your house. For example, in your closet, hang all the skirts together, all the blouses, etc. I find sometimes the best thing is to take all stuff out of room, as you bring stuff back in sort then. Also remember you can also donate to the Goodwill or other charities. At least then someone could benefit from it. Giving is caring and tax deductible!!!!!

.) Give everything a home. Store you’re must have’s at easy access. Stuff you need once a year, think basement or attic. All toys go in a toy box, all books go on book shelf, all paid bills and unpaid bills go in its own file. Following these rules, you can take away years’ worth of clutter in just hours. It’s very energizing and feels awesome!! Your mind will feel so clear and the kids are great to help to…..that way they will learn how to do their own rooms.

.) Call a Maid service to do a deep clean on your residence or if your organizing your off call a commercial cleaning service. They can clean baseboards, light fixtures and blinds. This is also a great time to re-arrange the furniture in the room you’re organizing as well. Your arrangement needs to be easy on the eye but MUST BE practical.

.) Let’s remember people, it’s just stuff; real memories are carried in your heart!!!! Don’t live in the past enjoy today!! Pick a room, line up maid service or a friend and start living your life without Clutter!
